Before you call Vasquez Taekwondo Academy

The school opens mid-afternoon and runs into the evening six days a week, with Sunday off. It holds a 4.7 rating across 68 Google reviews. Reviewers mostly praise how the instructors work with children, the progress their kids make and the birthday parties.

A few critics feel the training lacks depth. They also say belt promotions follow a fixed calendar more than ability.

The academy states that it and all its instructors are Kukkiwon certified, and it names memberships in the World Haidong Gumdo Federation, the World Jido Kwan Taekwondo Federation and the Global Traditional Taekwondo Federation.

Nothing runs before 3:30 pm, so plan a first visit for a weekday afternoon or a Saturday. Ask which class fits the student's age and belt before you sign up.

Our son loves his time at VTA. This is an amazing family-run local business that teaches kids WAY more than just Taekwondo. We are so impressed with the Vasquez family and their amazing instructors. Thank you for making a difference in our lives!

We like it very much. It’s a wonderful place to learn taekwondo they teach you how to snap and punch good you even have a parter but if you don’t you get to learn more with the instructors so in my opinion I think it’s a good place to stay vigilant and alert!
